ZAGREB, Sept 18 (Croatia Sun News) – The value of the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) main indices increased on Wednesday, with turnover being much higher than on Tuesday, owing again to trading in the shares of the Kras confectioner in the amount of HRK 52.7 million.
It is assumed that most of Kras shares today were bought by the Cyprus-based KappaStar Limited, owned by Serbian businessman Nebojsa Saranovic, which has confirmed officially that earlier this week its stake in Kras reached 5%.
The Crobex index rose by 0.42% to 1,893.77 points while the Crobex10 rose by 0.67% to 1,110.10 points.
Regular turnover was almost HRK 38 million higher than on Tuesday and amounted to 59.2 million.
Most of the turnover was generated by trading in 66,471 Kras shares, or slightly more than 4.4% of the company’s stock, in the amount of HRK 52.7 million. The price of its shares grew by 16.31% to HRK 820 per share.
The other two stocks that crossed the million kuna mark were the HT telecom, which generated a turnover of HRK 1.6 million, and the Podravka food company, which generated a turnover of HRK 1.3 million.
The price of HT shares grew by 1.25% to HRK 162.50 per share while the price of Podravka shares rose by 1.95% to HRK 418 per share.
