8th science picnic to take place in Golubovec Castle in north Croatia

ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Croatia Sun News) – The eighth edition of the science picnic, which will bring together about 70 exhibitors and educators, will take place in the Stubicki Golubovec castle grounds next weekend.

The event will be organised by the Professor Balthazar association, local authorities, the Rudjer Boskovic Institute and CARNET.

A member of the organising committee, Hano Uzeirbegovic, told a news conference on Monday that this is the first time the picnic would be held outside Zagreb.

He underscored the fact that apart from Croatian educators, colleagues from Poland and Italy would also take part in the event.

Over 30 schools have announced that they will join the picnic.

Nikola Gospocic, the mayor of Donja Stubica, where the venue is located, said that the event was also important for the revitalisation of the park and the Stubicki Golubovec castle.
