ZAGREB, Nov 11 (Croatia Sun News) – Bibliophiles will be glad to know that the 42nd edition of the Interliber international book and teaching aids fair will be held at the Zagreb Trade Fair Centre from November 12 to 17.
As the largest literary event in Croatia, Interliber has positioned itself as an important public platform for the freedom of expression through the written word and the dialogue between the local and the international literary scene.
More than 380 exhibitors from 13 countries will present their most recently published editions, which is 18% more than last year.
Interliber will be accompanied by more than 200 supporting events at four different locations at the fair grounds.
Visitors can expect presentations of new books by domestic and foreign authors, meetings and interviews with writers, reading rooms and workshops, awarding of literary awards, auctions of old books, quiz shows, music programmes as well as professional meetings of publishers, booksellers and librarians, panel discussions and debates.
Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic will formally open the fair, which is organised under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture.
Admission is free.
