ZAGREB, April 8 (Croatia Sun News) – Dolac market, located in the heart of Zagreb, has reopened for business today, with a new set of regulatory measures in place to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. A group of ten booths have been set up from which family owned and operated farms can sell their products. Benches have also been set up five meters apart. Customers come in limited numbers with mandatory hand disinfection, with a maximum of one hundred allowed in the area.
According to Vecernji List, in addition to Dolac, farmers markets will be open in the Kvatrić, Trešnjevka, Špansko, Prečko, Jarun, Gajnice and Utrina neighbourhoods, and will operate from 8am – 1pm.
The Green Market is now temporarily a drive-through with vertical and horizontal signage installed. Cars can enter a paved lane that runs between sellers located to the left and right. In front them will be a display area with the current offer from their gardens prepackaged and ready to take away in boxes. After customers make their choice, they can pull off to the curb and the seller, who must keep a three meter distance at all other times, will place the package into the car trunk or back seat.
