Zagreb farmers markets, a community staple, have reopened for shopping

ZAGREB, April 8 (Croatia Sun News) – Dolac market, located in the heart of Zagreb, has reopened for business today, with a new set of regulatory measures in place to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. A group of ten booths have been set up from which family owned and operated farms can sell their products. Benches have also been set up five meters apart. Customers come in limited numbers with mandatory hand disinfection, with a maximum of one hundred allowed in the area.

Slovenia reports decrease in new infections, considers restarting economy

ZAGREB, April 7 (Croatia Sun News) – The number of COVID-19 patients in Slovenia rose by 38 on Monday to 1,059, the government reported today, and this seems to indicate that the daily rise of new cases is decreasing.

Brick and mortar retail under coronavirus, or why we must act now. A call for action

ZAGREB, April 7 (Croatia Sun News) – By Denis Cupic – Chilling fantasies from SF movies about places emptied of people have become reality. Dystopian visions of societies without social contact have become real – if only, as we all hope, on a temporary basis. However, after the lock-downs, shutdowns, isolation, and quarantine have become things of the past we will face a challenging new world of post-traumatic businesses and shoppers.
