All non-essential shops closed in Croatia as of now due to COVID-19

ZAGREB, March 19 (Croatia Sun News) – Croatia is one latest countries in Europe to go into lockdown, with all public gatherings being banned and all non-essential shops being closed as of Thursday due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Shops selling necessary food and hygienic products, including such shops in shopping malls remain open.

Employers put emphasis on job preservation

ZAGREB, March 17 (Croatia Sun News) – Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP) director-general Davor Majetic said that the government and employers were designing the measures which were primarily intended to preserve jobs during this crisis caused by the outbreak of COVID-19, and that they hoped that unionists would support them.

Investment in Petrinja from India, valued at EUR 50mil

ZAGREB, Feb 15 (Croatia Sun News) – Indian entrepreneur Arvind Kapur signed a memorandum of understanding with Petrinja Mayor Darinko Dumbovic, which envisages up to €50 million investments by the Indian Karma Agro company in agriculture in the Petrinja area.
