ZAGREB, Oct 22 (Croatia Sun News) – European Commission spokeswoman Mina Andreeva said on Monday that the Commission would adopt a report on Croatia’s compliance with the Schengen Area requirements, despite lobbying from Slovenian MEPs to delay any consideration of Croatia until the border dispute between the two countries is fully resolved.

New European Commission president to visit Croatia on Tuesday

ZAGREB, July 25 – The new European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Croatia, “the newest and strongly pro-European member state”, next Tuesday, her spokesman Jens Flosdorff said, adding that the Commission president was looking forward to cooperating with Croatia, which assumes the rotating six-month presidency of the EU in the first half of 2020.
