Croatia records highest increase in retail trade volume in EU

ZAGREB, Nov 7 (Croatia Sun News) – In September Croatia recorded the highest increase in retail trade volume of all EU member states, after having been among the countries which saw steep declines in August, according to new data published by the EU’s statistical office Eurostat.

Croatia presents its EUSDR presidency programme

ZAGREB, Nov 7 (Croatia Sun News) – Croatia’s presidency of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) will focus on stronger regional development, synergy between macro-regional strategies and the Cohesion Policy, as well as promotion of cooperation with countries of the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership, Regional Development and EU Funds Minister Marko Pavic said on Wednesday in Vukovar, where he presented the programme of Croatia’s presidency of the Danube Strategy.

Non-EU citizens come to Croatia mainly for employment reasons

ZAGREB, Nov 4 (Croatia Sun News) – Last year, the European Union issued 3.22 million residence permits for non-EU citizens and the figures show that a majority of those non-EU citizens who moved to Croatia in 2018 did it for employment reasons, the Vecernji List daily reported.
