Dystopian visions of societies without social contact have become real – if only, as we all hope, on a temporary basis. EU justice ministers: Extraordinary measures have to be in line with EU values

ZAGREB, April 7 (Croatia Sun News) – European Union member states agree that all extraordinary measures introduced because of the coronavirus pandemic have to be in line with the EU’s fundamental values, Croatia’s EU presidency said in a press release following a video conference of EU justice ministers.

EU gives €38m to seven W. Balkan countries for protective gear

ZAGREB, March 31 (Croatia Sun News) – As part of the global response to the coronavirus outbreak, the European Commission decided to give up to €38 million in immediate support for the Western Balkans to tackle the health emergency.

EU ministers agree on launch of entry talks with N. Macedonia, Albania

ZAGREB, March 24 (Croatia Sun News) – EU ministers of European affairs, who make up the General Affairs Council, reached a political agreement on opening accession negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania, and the formal decision is to be set down in writing.
